Eszter

Eszter Szoboszlay (Budapest, 1979) is a graphic artist and animation director working at Kecskemétfilm.

She graduated in printmaking from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and has been directing short animated films since 2006, typically combining photographed models with drawn and digital elements. Her films — among them Fejlakók (Head Dwellers), Mesék Budapestről (Tales of Budapest), Cigánymesék (Gypsy Tales) and the award-winning Találkozás (Encounter, 2025) — explore the world of a child's mind and of intimate spaces. She also illustrates children's books and has taught graphic art in Kecskemét since 2005.
